Cottage Farmhouse Table

Here is our new kitchen table....

I love it! I am so happy with the way it turned out. We ended up ordering some chairs to go with it after being unsuccessful in finding some vintage ones to paint up to match. I'm kinda glad because these are just what I was looking for and it saved me lots of time! Painting chairs are a pain because they have so many curves and small spaces to get too. I found a great deal on these solid wood chairs and they were already the perfect color.
It came with 2 leaves to add in so it can seat up to 10. You can see how big it is in the previous post. Perfect for big family gatherings!
It has 2 small drawers on each end to store place mats and such. I put the original pulls back on, but I think I may have to hit up Anthropologie for some fun new funky knobs.

coming up.....

I've got some great projects that I am working on right now.
The first is this awesome table that a friend of mine so wonderfully gave me. She knows I redo furniture and asked if I'd be interested in a free table. Um...Yes! I was so excited when i saw it in her garage. It will be perfect in our new house (if the bank will just hurry up and accept our offer!)
I love the chunky legs and the distressed farmhouse style top.
I've already sanded down the top to re-stain in this picture and now I'm just trying to decide what color to paint the bottom. I'm leaning toward the antique white I've used on several pieces, but am also thinking that dark turquoise would be fun to do on it.
Any suggestions???
Did I mention it's got cute little drawers on each end?!
This will be another vintage coffee table that I will start on when I finish up the table. I will be adding some legs to it (big surprise), re-staining the top, and painting the rest of her something fun. If you are interested in this piece it will be up for sale so let me know if you want it. I can customize the color for you!

Shabby 8 Sided Vintage Coffee Table

Like I said in the previous post, this one is probably my favorite piece I've redone so far. It has 8 sides and beautiful scroll detail along the edges. Once again I thought it needed some feet on it so I recruited Curt to help me out. I love the way it turned out.
Antique white on the bottom, distressed, glazed, and finished with poly for protection. The top was stained with a dark walnut stain and the wood pattern came out beautifully.
Sorry, but I will be keeping this piece! :)

Sneak Peek

This one might just be one of my favorites that I've done so far......

I still haven't had any luck finding my charger for my camera battery so this is another crappy picture with my cell phone. I will post better pictures tomorrow after I borrow someone's camera!

Antique Art Deco Bed

*************SOLD**************

It's done! Finally!
This one was a challenge. If you saw the previous post about this bed you know what kind of shape it was in when I got it. Cracked, Peeling, Splintered, Unglued, etc.... It needed a lot of work. So I've been slowly working on it over the holidays. It's taken awhile since these past couple of months have been crazy busy, but i finally finished it today.
I ended up doing a more distressed look to it because of it's previous condition.
It was painted an antique white color, sanded, glazed with stain, and finally coated with Poly for protection. It is a full size headboard and footboard, but the rails have a converter on them which would allow for a queen sized mattress if you wanted that size instead.
Sorry for the bad pictures. My camera's battery is dead and I can't find the charger for the life of me. These pictures were taken with a cell phone. I think this makes for a good excuse to get a new (and more upgraded) camera don't you???!!! ;)
This piece will be up for sale.

I just love that curved footboard!

Let me know if you are interested!
